Historical demography in the era of Big Data This project brings together all collaborative historical demography studies, studies that assemble and analyze personal databases and often use historical GIS systems especially designed for the local and regional scales. It also integrates the NOE-EDHI or Numérisation, Océrisation, Exploitation: Enquêtes de Démographie Historique de l’INED project [Digitization, Optical Character Recognition processing, data analysis: INED’s historical demography surveys] and the COMMINE-HisDBD (COllaborative Micro-Mapping of UNExploited Historical District- Boundary Data), which integrates the national dimension. All of these studies and projects require a high level of technicity.
