Health, morbidity and mortality in preindustrial populations This research project aims to analyse the demographic behaviour of preindustrial populations for any period and regardless of available sources. The point is to apprehend past populations within a broad general framework where biological laws, environmental changes and technological and societal developments can be seen to interact. This research programme is destined to evolve due to the internal and international synergies it contains, generated in turn by a recently created theme-based research network at INED called IN-HOPPE (International Network - Historical and Osteroarcheological Past Populations Exploration).
